1975 Bob Paffrath

1940’s era Butler HS graduate. He played basketball and football earning three letters in each sport, and earned All-Section honors. He captained both teams in 1941-1942, and and won the Storey Memorial Award, ,the same season also won an All-Section spot in basketball two year straight from 1941- 1942. He went to play and earn 4 letters in basketball at Duquense University where he played in the NIT tournament in the 1946-47 season and ended up runner up in that tournament. After college for five straight seasons he played softball for the Butler Cubs that won five straight championships. He also coached for several years at St. Josephs and St. Elizabeth High Schools. And he officiated basketball for 12 years in the Suburban League.
