1982 John Shipkowski

A 1966 Butler HS graduate who was All- WPIAL in football his junior and senior years. He also was named All-MAC his senior year. He went on to play football at the University of New Mexico from 1968 – 1972. He started 32 straight games at offensive tackle. He played in the North-South Shrine game his senior year. After college he signed with the Dallas Cowboys but missed the physical. He then played all seven games with the Kansas City Chiefs. He ended up spending half the regular season with the New England Patriots in 1974, and finished the 1974 season wit the Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL.
