1989 Calvin “Champ” Bowser

A Butler HS graduate who earned letters in basketball, football, and track. In the summer months he was an outstanding baseball player. Track brought him significant recognition by winning the 1961 PIAA State championship in the javelin event. He tossed the javelin 208′. He continued his track career at West Texas State where he tossed the javelin 245 feet.
