1991 Rube Waddell

Rube was raised in various parts of Western Pennsylvania and played for several local Butler County sandlot teams in the early 1900’s. He played numerous games at Pullman Park , Evans City, and Eau Claire. He went on to sign a professional baseball contract as a pitcher with the Philadelphia Athletics and ended up in the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame. He had won 191 games in 13 seasons with four 20 game winnings seasons for Connie Mack with the Philadelphia A’s.
