1996 John Minton

A Butler HS graduate who lettered in basketball. After high school he joined the US Army with the Military Police. He became a professional wrestler taking the name “Big John Studd” He took several names as he wrestled starting with the name the “Mighty Minton”. After his 1972 debut, he then joined the Los Angeles NWA Hollywood Wrestling as part of a tag team. In mid 1972 he joined the Worldwide Wrestling Federation under the name “Chuck O’Connor” He left the WWWF in 1973. He continued professional wrestling through 1989.
