2010 Ralph “Sonny” Westerman

A dedicated sports man who had walked the walk four times prior to induction into the Butler Co. Sports HOF. He was inducted into Pennsylvania State American Legion Baseball HOF in 1968, the Armstrong County Sports HOF in 1987, The A-K Valley Sports HOF in 1997, and the Kentucky Sports HOF in 2006. He had scouted for the Philadelphia for many years, and was a promoted of local baseball for over 40 years with youth through American Legion age baseball teams in the Freeport area. Hi biggest accomplishment was the formation of the Freeport International Baseball Tournament in 1995. Teams from all over the world have come to Western Pennsylvania to participate in the annual tournament from Australia, Canada, Israel, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Japan, many US States, and local baseball teams.
