He dedicated 50 years to baseball in the Butler area, with his focus on the East Butler Baseball Assn. He managed the East Butler American Legion program for many years amassing a record of 423-188. His fundraising efforts helped with the development of the East Butler Baseball Complex for years. He also served on the Pullman Park Board with the renovation of the ball park complex.
