2012 Martin Leo Sasse

A 1952 Winfield HS graduate where he set school records in scoring and rebounding in basketball. He set a record 37 points in one game, while averaging 20 points per game. He also set records in baseball at Winfield for hits, batting average, and stolen bases. In the late 1950’s he turned to a long and successful career plating sandlot softball winning numerous championships across the USA.
