2013 Erin J. Ward Whitman

A Butler HS graduate who earned eleven letters ( four in soccer, four in track & field, and three in basketball). She graduated as the 5th leading scorer in basketball with 1,005 points. She was named to the 1st team WPIAL All- Section team as a senior and First Team Butler Eagle County All-Stars in both her junior and senior year. Her teammates named her the team MVP her junior and senior year also. She was an outstanding soccer player earning the MVP Award her junior and senior year, and named to the Butler Eagle All-Star Team in soccer her last two years at Butler. The WPIAL named her 1st Team All-Section teams also her last two high school years. And she captured first place in the WPIAL Track Finals in the shotput her senior year,and qualified for the PIAA State Championships. She went on to earn 12 letters at Geneva College in basketball, soccer and track. She was the team captain her junior and senior year in basketball, As a soccer player at Geneva she was named MVP and graduated as the scoring leader in a season with 24 goals. She was named 1st Team All- Conference in soccer all four years. In track she was the NCAA D-II National Javelin Champion her Freshman and Junior years.
