2016 Sam Bello

Sam Bello was born in 1922 and at the age of he became afflicted wit Polio. That did not stop him from acquiring a love for sports. By the 1940’s he became an American Legion manager and also a manager in the Butler Cubs League. Later he became involed with local Little League basebll, both as a coach and as an umpire. He continued further in spors by coaching in the Butler Midget Football League for may years. His dedication to the Butler community thru sports made him a perfect candidate for the Lifetime Achievement Award for 2016.
