2017 Sam Moore

A 1951 graduate of Muddy Creek HS where he was a standout pitcher. Over many years he played local sandlot baseball in the Butler Eagle County Baseball League for Middle Lancaster for 25 years, and he also pitched in the Lawrence County League. At the same time he played softball in the Butler County Leagues. Same enterd the US Army after high school and ended up pitching the championship baseball game for the 37th Tank Batallion in Fort Hood Texas. He won the game tossing a 3 hitter. Same considered a professional baseball contract but opted out to stay in school in his early days.
