A 1996 Knoch HS graduate where he lettered two years in baseball.He was selected First Team All-Section in 1995 & 1996. He also was a Butler County American Legion All-Star selection in 1994 and 1995. He on to a collegiate athletic career at Gulf Coast Community College in 1997 and 1998, and then transferred to Slippery Rock University for the seasons lettering at the Rock. He earned All-Star for the 1998 season, and earned First Team All-PSAC and First Team All-Region in 2000. He then earned First Team All-Region again in 2001. During his high school and collegiate career he played from 1995 – 2005 for the Saxonburg entrant in the Butler Eagle County Baseball League helping the team to several season and league championships. He then played inteh Youngstown Adult baseball league and coached high school while teaching at Sharpsville High School. After high school he also signed a professional baseball contract with the Montreal Professional baseball organization.
