2018 Sue Parisi

A 1969 Mars HS graduate where she played basketball. She went on to attend Slippery Rock University, earning a degree in Health & Physical Education. In 1975 she started Butler HS girls basketball program playing and exhibition schedule for their first season. Starting in 1976 the team competed in the WPIAL as a section team achieving a record of 9-5. The following 1977 season they improved to 17-4, in 1978 they were 18-2 and in her final coaching season the team record was 23-6 record ending with a four year record of 67-17. Also in 1979 she coached the All-West Team in the Pennsylvania Classic in Harrisburg. The start of the girls basketball program gave numerous girls the opportunity to compete in basketball which enhanced their opportunities to continue to play at the collegiate level. Two of her former players Lisa Zilatone, and Jody Imbrie are also past inductees into the Butler County Sports Hall of Fame.
