A 1992 Seneca Valley HS graduate where she earned eleven letters in basketball , soccer and softball. She was named to the Pittsburgh Press and Post Gazette Section 3 All- Star teams in 1992 and won the Sherman Award and eh YMCA Award the same year. She graduated Seneca Valley as the leading girls soccer scorer with 1062 points and the all time rebounder with 961. Also in 1992 she was a pitcher on the girls softball team who were the WPIAL Championship Team, and were the PIAA State Championship Team. She batted .602 that season. She then attended Washington & Jefferson College and then transferred to the Penn State Behrend Campus of Penn State University, where she lettered three years in basketball, and two letters in softball and was named Offensive Player of the Year.
