2018 Robert “Rob” Fester

A 1983 Mars HS graduate where he lettered for three years in baseball. While at Mars he was named to the All-Section Team in 1983, ,and set a school single season record with nine wins. He is also ranked second in school history in strikeouts and career wins. He went on to pitch at Point Park College, and helped his team make a pair of NAIA College World Series  appearances. The Pioneers were ranked third in the nation in 1985, and second in 1986. He was also part of the Point Park team that won a then collegiate record of 37 consecutive games. He pitched in the Butler Eagle County Baseball League – primarily for Mars since 1982 and is till pitching at tis time ( 2020) as part fo 18 League Championships.
