A Moniteau HS graduate who only played one year of football. He went on to have a great career at Slippery Rock University in the early 1960’s. He made Littler All-American and received an Outstanding Lineman Award in the All-ports Bowl at Oklahoma City. During his career at SRU he caught a record 94 yard passing in one game, and finished with a career record of 1,974 yards, and 114 receptions. He returned to his high school alma mater briefly serving as the AD. Also after completing his collegiate career at SRU he was given a try out with the Montreal in the Canadian Football League.
