1988 John “Buzz” Irvine

An Evans City HS graduate in teh early 1950’s who earned 9 letters in basketball, football, and track. He went to play for the University of Maryland winning the M. Cohen Award, Honorable Mention All-American, and Who’s Who in American Colleges. After college he tried pro football with the Chicago Cardinals in 1955 and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats from 1956-57.
